It’s the season of Pink
Pink worn well is a statement. The kind that makes someone stop mid-conversation to ask where you got your shoes.
This year, we're thinking about pink differently. Too often, we treat colorful pieces as occasional wear—something fun but not essential. So we compromise on quality or comfort, assuming we'll only wear it once or twice. But what if we didn't? What if that pink piece you get for Valentine's day became something you reach for constantly?
Along with Valentine's Day outfit ideas and styling tips, I want to show you that pink doesn't need to be reserved for one day. It can move through your life—dinner reservations, weekend coffee, late-night conversations that stretch past midnight, and yes, Valentine's Day too.
Here's how to wear pink for Valentine's day and every day after.
1. The Power of One Pink Piece
One piece. All the impact.
You don't need pink from head to toe. I am a firm believer that you need one perfectly pink piece to make it stand out in an outfit.
For me, it's my fuchsia Womads. Perfectly vivid and impossible to ignore.
I love styling fuchsia with blue—they complement each other beautifully. Even though you're adding more color, the pink still draws the eye exactly where you want it.
It is also a fun color combination that you can make any Valentines outfit stand out. You likely already own a blue piece in your wardrobe, if you have a soft blue, pair it with a bold pink. If you have a bold blue, opt for a softer pink, it's all about balance.
2. Pink That Doesn't Scream Valentine's
Some pinks announce themselves, others are more of a subtle whisper.
Whichever speaks to you is the one worth keeping. If you love a subtle shade, try:
Dusty rose paired with a soft cream or a pale neutral.

Skip the candy-bright shades unless they genuinely feel like you. The goal is to look and feel like the version of yourself you love most.

I love pairing a soft cream with a soft pink, it feels feminine and classy. The cream works beautifully as a neutral while still offering more than the standard black and the softness compliments the light pink beautifully.
You can also pair a light pink with the Womads cream collection that comes in Oxfords, crossbody bags, straps and peep toes.
This combination is perfect for Valentine's Day dinner or a movie date—soft, elegant, effortlessly put together. But it doesn't stop there. Brunch with friends, meeting the parents, any occasion where you want to look like you know exactly what you're doing without trying too hard.
3. Pairing Pink: What Actually Works
If you need more color pairing options:
Pink + Black: The contrast is effortless. Any shade of pink works with black it just depends how you want it to pop. Our fuschia shade easily stands out against a black, but a softer pink will lay in the background more.
Pink + Denim: Unexpectedly perfect. Denim is just another way blue and pink work together—easy to wear and impossible to mess up. Perfect for a low-key Valentine's date or any day you want to look put together without the effort.
Pink and Carmel or Tan: Warm, grounded, quietly luxurious. The kind of pairing you see on women who just know.
Pink and Gold: A combination that works both ways—dressed up or down. Gold accessories usually lean formal, which makes them perfect for Valentine's Day. But paired with pink, they soften just enough to work for everyday wear too.
4. The Valentine's Day Outfit That Works Anywhere
Dinner reservations or a random Tuesday
The best Valentine's outfit isn't one you'll only wear once.
Start with something you already love—your simple black dress, favorite jeans and silk blouse. Then add pink where it matters. Shoes. Bag. Both.
This way, Valentine's Day is just the beginning. Next week, those pink heels work with something entirely different. Your fuchsia peep toes beneath a black pants suit. Paired with your favorite denim on a random Saturday.
Styling color can feel bold—like putting yourself out there—so we save it for special occasions. But those pink pieces you choose? They're not waiting in your closet for permission. They work all year, with everything you already own.
5. Pink Textures: Leather, Suede, Satin
How the material changes everything and yes, the texture matters as much as the shade.
Pink leather ages beautifully. It's polished, slightly rebellious, the kind of material that improves with time. Our artisan-made leather carries that quiet elegance—its one of my favorite reasons for working with leather, it only gets better with time.
Suede pink feels softer, more tactile. Beautiful for cooler months, but it demands care and attention. If you are opting for a suede coat to read more about how to care for it.
Satin or silk pink is pure glamour. I love a pair of silk pink pyjamas, they feel like valentines day and a very comfortable outfit for an at home date.
Pink Beyond Valentine's Day
I love Valentine's day, it's a fun day where you can dress up and really celebrate however makes sense for you. When shopping for your valentines day pieces treat pink like any color you love—choose quality, wear it often, let it move through your life instead of waiting in your closet for a special day.
Date nights throughout the year. Brunches with friends. Coffee dates on a random Wednesday. The pink you choose now works for all of it.
