Fall is the ultimate fashion seasonâwith rich, warm colors that define the mood.
Saying goodbye to summer is always bittersweet (beach days are my favorite), but Fall 2025 is coming in strong with trends that feel both bold and timeless.
Letâs talk about this seasonâs standout colors: mocha brown, burgundy, and mustard yellow.
And Iâm going to show you exactly how to wear them.
Hello Warmth: Mocha Brown Takes the Lead
Brown has always been a fall staple, but this year, itâs all about the warmer shadesâthink mocha, cinnamon, and toffee. These tones add beautiful depth while still acting as neutrals, making them incredibly versatile and elevated.
What I love about mocha brown is how effortlessly it works across different fabricsâknits, leather, wool, suedeâyou name it. It never feels like too much or too little. Every texture is enhanced by its richness.
Mocha is also the perfect base for monochromatic outfits. It allows you to mix textures without overwhelming the look, making layering feel intentional and chic.
Hereâs a few ways you can style mocha:
Knit Sweater + Brown Leather Pants and white Womads Oxfords:
Go for a light mocha sweater with slightly darker leather pants. Itâs such an effortlessly stylish combo that feels put-together without trying too hard. And again the monochromatic look is so satisfying when done right.
Suede brown Trousers + Blue Sweater Vest + Black Belt:
I also love brown and blue. This oneâs perfect for the office and works great for warmer fall climates (like here in Miami). Layer a long-sleeve tee underneath if you're somewhere cooler.Â
Chunky Sweater + Mocha Trousers + Trench Coat:
A classic fall look thatâs easy to wear and endlessly stylish. The trench coat adds so much sophistication but also keeps you warm if youâre outside apple picking.

The chunky sweater underneath adds a ton of interest and dimension to the outfit.
Burgundy: The Color of the Season
To me, burgundy is fall and that was fully confirmed by my Gen Z social media specialist, so it must be true. Itâs rich, moody, and timeless. The second I think of fall, my brain goes straight to burgundy.
I also love diving into color psychology (seriously, it scratches an itch in my brain), and yesâI did a whole video on what burgundy represents. Hint: itâs appetizing.
Â
Burgundy works beautifully as a statement piece, especially when paired with a cozy texture like a knit.
One of my favorite looks is easily a chunky burgundy knit paired with a brown suede skirt. Finish the look off with White Womads Oxfords and peek-a-boo socks.Â
Itâs the perfect outfit for a casual fall dinner date or even home decor shopping.Â
Mustard Yellow: Trust me here
While yellow is often a summer color, a muted mustard shade brings it into fall effortlessly. Itâs bold and pairs surprisingly well with seasonal tones.
-
Pair mustard yellow with mocha brown to create a preppy but classic fall look.

-
Mustard also pairs beautifully with grey. Picture a knit sweater vest with a flowy grey skirt, it's easily giving Rachel Green energy.Â
-
For footwear, cow print or white peep toes add in more neutral that balances the warmth of mustard and tones down the cool grey.
Color combos for Fall
If you love playing with color like I do, try pairing burgundy with mustard yellow for a more preppy vibe.
-
A burgundy sweater vest layered over a mustard knit peeking out

Or a mustard yellow sweater paired with burgundy suede skirt. You can also add accessories such as scarves, bags and jewelry to add more excitement to the look.Â

Another simple and subtle way to add burgundy is with our new burgundy oxfordsâan easy way to add depth without overwhelming the outfit.
Another favorite pairing: hunter green and burgundy, like just look. The color combination speaks for itself.
Burgundy is also perfect for softening an all-black outfit.
Just small pops of color can instantly warm up the look and burgundy is the perfect fall colour to add. Burgundy also looks beautiful with denim and darker blue colors.
Fall 2025: Step Into Confidence
This fall is all about intentional color. Whether you're building your wardrobe around neutrals like mocha brown or making a statement with burgundy and mustard, these shades bring both personality and versatility.
Oh and layers are your friend, they are cozy and warm and add so much dimension to your outfit!Â
Color doesnât have to be super bright and neon to be powerful. A statement looks like a quiet suede mocha coat with blue jeans or a simple monochromatic look.Â
